Kingpin motors and blinds can be connected to Home Assistant and MQTT using RFXCOM. The right RFXCOM module depends on the protocol and frequency used. For 433 MHz devices the RFX-433EMC is usually the right choice; for 868 MHz applications use the RFX-868. RFXCOM acts as a bridge between existing wireless devices and modern smart-home software such as Home Assistant. Depending on the device, signals can be received, transmitted or both. With MQTT, supported devices can appear automatically through Auto Discovery.
